Someone needs your smile

Hey friend with the beautiful smile! Yes you.

This week, I have a life changing task for you. Not only will it change your life, but other peoples too.

Smile at everyone you come in contact with.

Sometimes all someone needs to see is your smile. Sometimes the difference between a good and bad day, is just a grin from a stranger. The world is cold and full of darkness. There are people you will never speak to and people who will never see you living out the Gospel. Sometimes, the only thing they see from you is a passing place.

A long time ago, I decided to smile at everyone I see, no matter my mood was on that day. You might think it’s dumb, but there is a five second opportunity to show someone kindness, just by an expression on your face. I had someone stop me one day and express how glad they were to see someone who still smiled at strangers the way they did.

I’ve seen smiles give people hope, feel loved, and flip someones day around. You never know the battles people are facing. Sometimes they just need light.

So smile. Just smile. Don’t have any other emotion showing on your face other than a huge smile! Smile at everyone you talk to. Even short conversations. Sometimes, when I have a really bad day, just someone smiling at me genuinely can make a world of a difference. Seriously, try it. Do it all week.

Be Joyful

Besides, you have so much to smile about. You have so much to be thankful for. Smile because you are a Christian, forgiven, and free. Smiling can even up lift you. If you smile a bunch, I promise, it will become natural. This small thing can make an impact on your day. As Christians, we are supposed to be joyful. Let me tell you… nothing says joyful more than a big ol’ frown. Kidding. Be joyful and smile. For every one reason you have to frown, you have a dozen reasons to smile. The bad doesn’t outweigh the good, even if it seems that way. So just smile for this week. You have so much to smile about.

Good luck smiling this week! Make a difference with something as smile as your beautiful smile!

Have a blessed day everyone.

  1. Yes! Especially in today’s world of everybody being constantly offended, I make an effort to smile & say good morning to people, the Lord’s given us a wonderful day. Makes shopping etc much easier + opportunity to witness.
